Consultations are by appointment and can be made in person or over the telephone during opening hours.
We have a range of routine appointments, online appointments and emergency appointments. We are able to offer pre-bookable or late appointments if we are unable to deal with your issue on the day. If we feel that it is an urgent appointment, please inform reception and they will discuss it with the doctor.
Please also be aware that there are Minor Injury Clinic appointments which is run by GPs and late HUB appointments available. Please speak to reception for more details.
The late evening surgeries on Monday and Tuesday at Peartree surgery are strictly by appointment only and only for patients who work and unable to attend normal surgery hours.
If you wish to book a smear appointment please do not book using the online system, all appointments must be booked through reception.
If you wish to book a flu vaccine appointment please do not book using the online system, all appointments must be booked through reception.
If you think your problem is very urgent please inform the receptionist who will make the appropriate arrangements with the doctor.
In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse or Health Care Assistant rather than a doctor. Practice nurses and Health Care Assistants are qualified to deal with many minor ailments and you may be seen more quickly. If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
If you would like to have a chaperone during an intimate examination, please feel free to ask the doctor.
